Premiering on May 12, Fallen Tiers is the final book in the Blue Dragon's Geas.
From the appearance of a mysterious egg to the onslaught of a vicious storm, Alador must now decide when to move against his Uncle. How will he protect Rena's egg? Can he save people from a storm of his own making, from the winter before? Can he really eliminate the well entrenched High Minister, who also happens to be his uncle. This last task must be done.. or he will fail his Geas given by the Blue Dragon. Failure of a major geas only ends in death. Alador is fairly certain attempting to remove his uncle will also end in death. Which death will our young hero choose or will he surprise them all and complete the Geas, releasing him from a predestined path he would have never chosen.

I'm also intensely disappointed. I know I ordered well after the 'draft' version was published and supposed to have been fixed, but I'm not going to lie, like the other books, not only does this one contain several annotations from the author's editors, but the last half of the book is astonishingly first-draft material.Spoilers below this line, probably.
Several of the chapters are in reverse order. There are about three of them with Alador discussing his plans and reactions to Mesi being captured by Luthian, followed by the chapter where Alador stands up to Luthian... only for it to be revealed that he has captured Mesi in the first place.
There's a lot more wrong, as well; Nightmare is routinely referred to as both "he" and "it" throughout the story. Commas are regularly misplaced or apparently transposed from their proper positions in compound sentences. Idioms and phrases like "en masse" and "piqued" are replaced with things like "in mass" and "peaked". The characters no longer have the unique voices and motivations and personalities built up over the last four books.
I understand the author's medical problems, I really do, and I desperately hope that somehow I've still gotten the glitched version of the book... but I increasingly have the suspicion that I do not. This book was released in a first draft state and, for the love of written word, I wish it hadn't been. Even a free/hobby editor would have caught these problems...

Fallen Tiers The Blue Dragon Geas Book 5 eBook Cheryl Matthynssens Alex Hunt Theresa Snyder Reviews
I originally had an issue with having the wrong version downloaded, but soon help my fix that problem. This book was more than I could expect for the final book in this series. How Cheryl involved and blended all the different characters was done very well and she kept the storyline going and interesting. Even better and as a hopeful reader there is a hope of a future series.
I waited expectantly for this last and final book in The Blue Dragon Geas series. I was not disappointed! I have followed other series where I felt the final storyline let me down or didn't hold true to the previous books. That was not the case with this very special story. Well done, Ms. Matthynssens.!
A truly great wrap-up to this trilogy. Make sure you get the updated version. If you got the original one downloaded by by mistake, you are missing out. This is epic!
I love this series. I' m finally seeing Alador show more maturity in previous books, shaped no doubt by his many experiences. This book gave more perspectives from other major characters which was welcome and the story continues to capture interest. Really hoping the next installment is not too far away.
I don't understand the negative reviews for Fallen Teirs? I have read every book in the series so far and am not undemanding as a reader but this is the best one so far. The world building, Dragon Lore and character development are among the best I have ever read and for the duration of the read I again found myself immersed in a fantasy world which is simply superb. An easy five stars for me!
Book 5 was a bit too fast paced for me and lacked the depth and development of the other books. I felt like the author had changed or that the story was wrapped up way too fast. Im glad i was introduced to the story and world, but this last book was just a let down and was very anticlimactic...i wish there was a second part to this finale that could explore and enrich the characters, dialogue, and overall plot that i have to expect based on the previous books.
after being sent the unfinished book by I finally got the full book and was not disappointed, admittedly there was a bit of a mix up with the same event happening twice(poor proof reading) but as it was a rushed finish to make up for s mistake I didnt mind. Great to finally get to the end of the series but the possibility of a future series is still there, look forward to reading more of Cheryls work
